MadeiraNow: Advanced Community News Production is a practical, student-led course that equips aspiring broadcasters and contributors to produce timely, accurate, and engaging news for the Madeira community. You’ll learn how to plan coverage for community stories and record-breaking athlete interviews, structure segments for monthly events, and create a repeatable workflow from tip intake to publishing. Throughout the course, you’ll build editorial judgment, improve interviewing and live-chat moderation, and apply safety checks to keep the community platform free, respectful, and reliable. By the end, you’ll be able to pitch stories, script and produce segments, manage interactive features, and deliver broadcast-ready updates that strengthen Madeira’s shared moments and achievements.
